What if I have friends and colleagues who want to watch the Mira Awards gala but had a conflict?
The live stream will be recorded and available in full for anyone to watch in the future.
What’s the difference between the live stream and the official Zoom watch party?
The official Zoom watch party is for all sponsors, nominees and judges to interact and enjoy the show together and see others “at the event.” Additionally, for the first time ever, the Mira Awards gala will be open to the general public free-of-charge via live stream on Facebook, YouTube, and this landing page (above). Please share this page with friends, family, and extended team members so they can watch the live stream as well.
Do I need to register for this event?
If you are a nominee, judge or sponsor, you have already heard from us with instructions to register and next steps for participating. If you are not in one of these groups, we will be streaming the entire show live on the landing page www.techpoint.org/BEBOLD - so you can tune in there on June 18 and feel free to share this link to any other colleagues and friends who want to participate! No need to register if you're just tuning into the free live stream. Still unsure? Contact Anna Rauh at firstname.lastname@example.org or Ann Kellison at email@example.com with any questions.
What should I expect if I win?
If you are announced as a winner, our technicians at Markey’s will pull you and your team members to the main screen, and then your designated representative will have up to 60 seconds to give an acceptance speech (do not feel like you have to fill that entire time). Your representative must be logged into the official Zoom watch party with their video and audio on to accept the award.
What if I have issues with my Zoom connection during the show?
If you click the question mark button in the bottom left of this page, you can speak directly with a technician from Markey’s Rental & Staging who will help you solve the problem. Visit this Best Practices for Virtual Mira Awards Gala Presenters doc for tips on how to put your best foot forward if you are going to be speaking on screen.
What is the dress code for this event?
Dress code is completely up to you this year - feel free to dress it up from the waist up, or opt for your PJs or company swag for a comfier option to fit the occasion.
What if our team is hosting an in-person watch party together?
We know that some of you have already (safely) reunited in the office with your teams and may opt to watch the show together. That’s great - and we would still love to see you! If you are a nominee or sponsor and you’re hosting an in-person watch party together, please still have someone log into the Zoom party so that we can include you in the broadcast.
